Holy Napoleon, Batman! Beethoven's Eroïca was originally dedicated to Napoleon and the ideals of the French Revolution, but after Bonaparte crowned himself Emperor of France, Beethoven violently scratched out his name. It is now seen as an ode to heroic figures everywhere.
Able to leap tall windmills in a single bound - Don Quixote, represented by the cello, A2SO principal cellist Sarah Cleveland, and his companion Sancho Panza, portrayed by the viola (Yizhak Schotten, "one of America's finest viola players.a leading light of the US viola establishment," says STRAD Magazine).
