Let your students' dreams begin as they try violins and cellos sized perfectly for them at an A²SO Instrument Petting Zoo. During an A²SO Instrument Petting Zoo, students will be introduced to the violins and cellos donated generously by Shar Products, shown the different parts of the instruments, taught to care for the instruments, and taught how to hold and play the instruments. Then they will be allowed to try to the instruments. Time and again, students' faces light up as they hold the instruments for the first time, imagining themselves in an orchestra making beautiful music.
Instrument Petting Zoos can be held in your music room or media union and can be scheduled according to your school's needs. Sessions designed for classes of 20-25 students. 45 minutes recommended for classes of 25 or more.
Cost: $25/hour
Instrument Petting Zoos recommended for grades K-2, for grades selecting instruments and for schools introducing a string program into their elementary grades.
